Promotional Codes and Online Shopping

23 Jun

Today shopping on the internet is a very popular choice. You can shop from the comfort of your home, sitting in your pajamas eating a bowl of cereal…avoiding the long lines and having to fight for a parking space. I love online shopping and have purchased everything from books to bras, shoes, clothes, hair products and the list goes on and on and on! But I am a smart online shopper. Many businesses have online only specials and I frequently find a better selection of clearanced items. Being a smarter shopper means that you take advantage of those sales AND use promotional codes.

If you have ever made an online purchase, you may have noticed an input field that asked for a coupon promotional  code. Many people overlook it because they just don’t have a code, but, you have skipped that field for the last time! 95% of the time, with very little effort, you can find a promotional code on the web.

There are several ways I go about finding promotional codes.

  1. I receive them in my email.  I create an account with my favorite companies, places that I frequently shop.  Once you register, the company will occasionally send emails that include coupons and/or promotional codes.  These range from percentages off to free shipping to free gifts with purchase.  Either way, they are savings that you would not receive if you shopped in the store. <br>
  2. Google promotional codes for that particular company.  If you are shopping online at Children’s Place, like I often do, then open a new window and google “Children’s Place promotional codes”.  Immediately you will be presented with a list of sites that will provide promotional codes.
  3. Two websites that will inevitably pop up in your google search are and  Both of these sites are AWESOME!  I randomly enter companies and usually they have a promotional code that I could use.

So, the next time you are online about to hit the “complete purchase” button, take a few moments to surf the net for promotional codes and save a few dollars.  The savings may even afford you with an opportunity to add one more thing to your basket/cart!  Don’t forget about Ebates!

Enjoy your sip and Happy Shopping!
